Philip Auerswald is the cochair and executive director of the Global Entrepreneurship Research Network, an initiative of the Kauffman Foundation; an associate professor at the Schar School of Policy and Government, George Mason University; the cofounder and executive director of The Policy Design Lab; and the cofounder and coeditor of Innovations, a quarterly journal about entrepreneurial solutions to global challenges published by MIT Press. His most recent book is The Code Economy: A Forty-Thousand-Year History (Oxford University Press, 2017).
