The World Bank
Lead - Digital Entrepreneurship Program
Toni leads the Digital Entrepreneurship Program (DEP) at the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Unit of the World Bank Group's Trade & Competitiveness Global Practice. DEP aims to catalyze the emergence of a competitive mobile and software applications industry that serves as a solutions provider for the public and private sector. It contributes to achieving this objective by deriving new development approaches that 1) connect innovative software developers and growth‐oriented entrepreneurs with the knowledge, capital and markets they need to launch and grow their enterprises in a global marketplace; 2) showcases business models that link entrepreneurs with industry, government and financiers locally and internationally; 3) creates a demonstration effect that inspires latent entrepreneurs and digital innovation stakeholders to take action; and 4) can be scaled up through the programming of the World Bank Group and its development partners.
